Hot Spicy Stir-fried Tuna Bites With Spring Onions

Stir Fried Spring Onions with Goana Tuna Bites

Servings: 2

  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Aminos
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Honey
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Ginger, fresh, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Avocado Oil
  • 1/2 large Yellow Onion, sliced
  • 2 ounces thai chili tuna bites
  • 4 cups Coleslaw Mix
  • 2 stalks Green Onion, thinly chopped
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  1. Mix the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine coconut aminos, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well to combine. Set aside.
  2. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat avocado oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Sauté Onions: Add sliced yellow onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften and turn translucent.
  4. Add Tuna Bites: Add the tuna bites to the skillet with the onions. Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Incorporate Coleslaw Mix: Add the coleslaw mix to the skillet. Stir well to combine with the onions and tuna bites. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the coleslaw mix begins to wilt but still retains some crunch.
  6. Pour in Sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the contents of the skillet. Stir everything together until the sauce evenly coats the ingredients. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  7. Finish with Green Onions and Cilantro: Add chopped green onions and cilantro to the skillet. Stir to incorporate. Reserve some cilantro for garnish if desired.
  8. Garnish: Once everything is heated through and well combined, remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish with additional chopped cilantro if desired. Serve the stir-fried tuna bites with spring onions immediately.
